What to Pack...

IF YOU ARE BRINGING CHILDREN...
The children's program includes stories & games, water activities, hikes, crafts, movies, campfires, face-painting and the opportunity to make friends with children from other countries.

  1. We suggest packing clothes that can get dirty, muddy, wet and even torn without parental distress.

  2. One or two nice outfits for the gala performance and the day trip to Victoria.

  3. A plain white T-shirt, one for each child, in your child’s size (The children will paint the T-shirts. This will be another way to identify them since they’ll be asked to put their names on their T-shirts.)

  4. Ten postcards with pictures of your city or country.  (The postcards will be for children to swap with each other. We think this is a great idea because postcards are relatively inexpensive, weigh little, take up no space in the suitcase and, at the same time, they are very educational, helping the children learn about other lands.)

FOR THE FUNDRAISER...
The success of these initiatives depends on each of us.
Please help make this reunion a fundraising success story for Pearson College.
Our individual support means a lot!

  1. The Amazing T-Shirt Auction: A live auction of T-shirts from around the world!
Please bring: 1 large adult T-shirt with a design that is representative of the country where you now live. If you have a child, please also bring one large child T-shirt.

  2. The Anniversary Silent Auction: A sealed bid auction for donated items and services.
Please bring: 1 item or service for the silent auction (Note: The emphasis is on bringing something, not how much you spend.  For customs purposes, any donated item must not cost more than $60Cdn.  For novelty value, we’d like to suggest bringing something representative of the country/region where you live or where you are originally from. If you don’t want to bring an item, consider offering a service for auction, e.g. taking someone sailing, bringing someone breakfast in bed.)

  1. Bring A Book: The library is seeking donation of translation dictionaries.
Please bring: 1 foreign language translation dictionary (language of your choice)

  2. One World, Many Kitchens: A cookbook on sale at the Reunion, composed of recipes donated by grads.
Please contribute: 3 favorite recipes (please forward these by e-mail to Sophia El-Sharkawy at elsharkawy@hotmail.com   or bring them with you)

  3. Endowment Pledges: The opportunity to up-date any existing pledge you may have and/or a chance to make a new pledge.
